Autism-Link Illinois Support Organization

The C-U (Champaign-Urbana) Autism Network, formerly known as the Autism Parent Support Group, was formed in 1995. Autism Society of McLean County

Autism Society of Southern Illinois

The Autism Society of Southern Illinois is dedicated to the support and education of family, friends, and individual people who adapt to the disability of autism. Our support area covers the southern portion of Illinois, south of Interstate 70.

Autism Spectrum Institute@Illinois State University

The Autism Spectrum Institute provides supportive education programs and trains pre-service and teacher educators as well as parents and families of children and youth with autism spectrum disorders. The Institute provides a multidisciplinary network of consultants that can assist in identifying, selecting, and implementing effective programs, a lending library, and information to families and professionals through workshops and in-service trainings. It will also serve as a coordinating site for classroom-, home-, and clinic-based research with an emphasis on the empirical validation of intervention strategies

Chicago Southside Autism Support Group (CSASG)

Chicago Southside Autism Support Group (CSASG) is a parent support organization. The mission of CSASG is to provide support and information for families and children with autism. The Illinois Support and Technical Assistance Regional Network (STARNET) system serves young children with special needs, families and communities throughout the state. It works to develop more effective partnerships and linkages among families, professionals and systems. STARNET provides training, consultation and resources to the early childhood community. The STARNET system supports the Illinois State Board of Education in meeting local needs by providing services throughout Illinois. The mission of Illinois STARNET provides a variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth for those who touch the lives of young children, ages birth through eight with an emphasis on children with special needs.

Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP)

The Illinois Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP) is an organization of approximately 2,300 pediatricians in Illinois. Primary activities include advocacy on behalf of children, families, and health professionals in Illinois; the provision of continuing medical education and other resources for pediatricians, pediatric specialists, and other child health care providers; and collaboration with other state organizations and agencies on programs and projects that improve the health and well-being of children.

The Indiana Resource Center for Autism staff conduct outreach training and consultations, engage in research, and develop and disseminate information on behalf of individuals across the autism spectrum, including autism, Asperger’s syndrome, and other pervasive developmental disorders. Our efforts are focused on providing communities, organizations, agencies, and families with the knowledge and skills to support children and adults in typical early intervention, school, community, work, and home settings.

National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (NECTAC)

There are practices and resources that can help address these challenges. To address these challenges, many federal agencies, state lead agencies, state education agencies, and national organizations have developed information, guidelines and resources. Network Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)

The Center has been established by the Office of Special Education Programs, US Department of Education to give schools capacity-building information and technical assistance for identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective school-wide disciplinary practices.

Ahead with Autism

The Veronica Bird Foundation is dedicated to increasing public and professional awareness of autism spectrum disorders, Ahead with Autism provides information and support to enhance the social, communicative and life skill development of individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The foundation is also dedicated to raising awareness of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, improving the lives of individuals afflicted by Autism and educating professionals through the worldwide distribution of The Different Shades of Autism, an award-winning video about the Screening and Diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, soon available in a Spanish version - other languages to follow soon. Geneva Center for Autism

Geneva Centre for Autism is a multi-service agency providing direct clinical services to families living in the Greater Toronto Area (including Peel, Halton, Simcoe and York Regions). We also provide information, resources and consultation and training services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), parents, service providers, educators and other professionals across Ontario, Canada and internationally.
